Shailer Park State School provides your family with a safe and disciplined learning environment. Our school utilises the latest in technology to support and enhance student learning in the national curriculum. Classrooms are digitally rich learning environments that act as a portal to the world.

Shailer Park State School provides

Digitally rich classrooms where students

  • study the National Curriculum in all year levels
  • utilise digital devices in all classrooms to enhance learning
  • use web-based learning in English and mathematics school wide (including programs such as Reading Eggs, Mathletics, EdStudios, Letterland Phonics)
  • School Wide Positive Behaviour Support program
  • Languages other than English (LOTE) – Japanese program

Our digital learning environments have

  • interactive whiteboards
  • wireless connectivity throughout the school
  • iPads, laptops and computers in each classroom
  • a 1:1 iPad classroom
  • digital cameras.

Co-curricular opportunities for students includes

  • a strong music program for students in Years 3 to 6 including the opportunity for all Year three students to play a strings instrument.
  • a dance program
  • a choral program
  • opportunities for all students to be involved at the End of Year Gala Event
  • district and regional sport involvement
  • leadership programs
  • a strong ‘Gifted Education’ program across the school.

We offer the following e-services for families

  • Online communication between school and home.
  • Direct email communication between families and staff.
  • Web banking.
  • Direct electronic student report cards to families.
